• The photo is analysed in your browser and never uploaded. That is an architectural fact rather than a policy: there is no upload endpoint on the server.

How the site is paid for

Advertising, and eventually affiliate links on shopping suggestions where they are relevant. There is no subscription, no premium tier and no plan to add one to the core analysis. Ad slots reserve their space from the first render so that turning ads on cannot make the page jump while you are reading it.
