Color Analysis Quiz
This color analysis quiz asks twelve questions about your natural hair, skin, eyes and how colors behave on you, then places you on the three dimensions that decide your season. It takes about a minute, it works without a photo, and it gives you the same result page as the photo tool: your season, the reasoning, and the full palette.

How to take a photo that gives a reliable result
- Daylight, facing a window. Overhead bulbs are warm and will push the reading warm.
- No makeup, especially no foundation. It is the single largest source of error.
- Hair back and off your face, and use the quiz instead if your hair is dyed far from its natural colour.
- No filter, no beauty mode, and nothing brightly coloured near your face.

Why a quiz can beat a photo
The photo path is faster and it feels like magic, but it is measuring pixels, and pixels are at the mercy of your lighting, your camera's white balance, your makeup and your hair dye. The quiz is at the mercy of your self assessment instead, which is a different kind of error.
In practice they fail in different places, which is why running both is the single best thing you can do for accuracy. If the two agree, you can be fairly confident. If they disagree, you are almost certainly on the border between two neighbouring seasons, and the result page will tell you which two.
How to answer well
Answer about your natural coloring, not your current one. If your hair is dyed, answer for the color it grows in. If you are wearing makeup, answer for your bare skin.
- Do the jewellery and white fabric questions in daylight if you can. Indoor bulbs are usually warm and they will push your answers warm too.
- If a question genuinely has no answer for you, pick the middle option. Unanswered and neutral answers lower the confidence score rather than biasing the result, which is what you want.
- The last question, about what people notice first, is the tie breaker. It is only used when two dimensions come out nearly equal, so answer it honestly rather than strategically.
Questions people ask
- How long does the color analysis quiz take?
- About sixty seconds. There are twelve questions, all multiple choice, and no account or email is needed to see your result.
- Is the quiz as accurate as the photo analysis?
- It is accurate in different places. The quiz depends on how well you judge your own coloring; the photo depends on your lighting. Running both and comparing is more informative than either one alone.
- What if I do not know my natural hair color?
- Answer for the color at your roots, or for what you remember before you first colored it. If you genuinely cannot tell, choose the middle option. The quiz treats that as no information rather than as evidence for either side.
- Can I retake the quiz?
- As often as you like. Nothing is stored, so there is no history to reset. Each run produces its own shareable result link.
- Does the quiz work without JavaScript?
- Yes. It is a plain form: it submits, the server scores it, and you get your result. JavaScript only adds the one question at a time flow.
