Hold a true blue based red against a dusty raspberry in daylight. True Winter looks sharpened by the strong red and slightly faded by the raspberry; True Summer looks harmonised by the raspberry and slightly overwhelmed by the red.
- Black is the fastest tell. On a True Winter it looks striking; on a True Summer it looks harsh and navy is always better in the same outfit.
- Pure white works for both, but a True Winter can wear it at full strength next to black, where a True Summer prefers it against navy or grey.
- Both wear plum and orchid. Winter's are saturated, Summer's have grey in them, and side by side the difference is obvious.
